And I have nothing interesting to say. 2007 was a boring year for me.
Okay, not really, but mostly.
In 2007, I joined my first ever fandom. Perhaps it wasn't my first, truly, but it was my first conscious choice to join a fandom. It was also the first time I read slash and liked it. And the very first time I wrote fanfiction, slash and het both. I started shipping this year, and I started reading non-canon pairings. I'd liked them before, just not anything other than subconsciously.
I am definitely a better writer this year. Right now, I want to become even better yet and I hope I'll be able to, because I still feel like what I write is a bit subpar. So I'll definitely improve. (Note how this is completely trumping grades and test scores in my mind right now? Nope, that's definitely not a good sign.)
I first grew to know the absolute WIN that is Tezuka/Fuji this year. I have a feeling that I'll still ship them long after I lose interest in Prince of Tennis, and that's definitely a good thing. I started reading Prince of Tennis this year. And D.Gray-Man. I've never really read shonen manga before (Naruto doesn't count because it just doesn't).
Real Life wise, I've gotten into robotics a lot more, and managed to not practice at all for forensics. It's not good, but you know. Meh. I'm still useless in robotics, but I feel like I'm at least a little bit more involved. I've gotten closer to my sister, because suddenly she's everywhere I go. I'm not sure I'm happy about that, but being closer is nice.
I've become a bit closer to my friends, but I think that I'm still mostly acquaintances with most of them. I might want to work on my social skills a bit, I guess.
In 2008, I foresee no big difference. Except that my fic-now-fandom journal might mix with my personal journal and all hell could break loose. :3 Fun, right?
